Bio

Emma completed her LLB at Strathclyde University and undertook her traineeship with a firm in Glasgow. Since then Emma has worked for a variety of well established law firms in Ayrshire before joining the McKinstry company in September 2024. 

As part of our Private Client team Emma deals primarily with Wills, Powers of Attorneys, Guardianships, Trusts and Estate administration. Emma has a keen interest in all private client matters and likes the interesting and varied nature of this area of Law. Emma is a people person who enjoys meeting clients and building a relationship with them during what can often be a difficult time in their lives. 

Emma tutors Private Client on the Postgraduate Diploma at the University of Glasgow. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, working with Students helping them to navigate their final year of legal studies before heading off to start their traineeship. 

Emma enjoys spending time with her two children and crazy cockapoo who she enjoys taking for long walks. 

A fitness enthusiast and lover of the outdoors Emma enjoys hiking, running, paddleboarding and cycling. She recently completed her first Hyrox in Glasgow and is keen to do another one soon…hopefully the next one will be in a more exotic location!
