Frances heads up the Property and Business Law team. Having trained at a large Glasgow firm, Frances has worked in commercial property since 2003 and for many years prior to that for a well-known high quality international retailer.
Frances acts for a broad range of clients, including landlords, tenants, developers and industrial businesses. She is highly experienced in a wide range of commercial property work, working with clients disposing of property for development; whether commercial or industrial property for re-development, or previously undeveloped land. Frances has extensive experience in leasing acting for both landlords and tenants.
She is highly experienced in all aspects of purchase and sale of commercial premises for both individual clients and for institutional investors. Frances regularly works alongside commercial clients ranging from small and medium sized business to large corporates. Frances has acted for many of the major UK High Street banks advising them on property and other lending matters. She also acts for clients who are borrowing to grow their businesses.
Frances also has corporate experience in selling and acquiring small and medium sized businesses, re-structuring of businesses as they grow and partnership matters.
Frances regularly runs training sessions for her team and tutors the trainees within the firm. She is the go-to person for complicated business matters and also heads up the Residential Property Team in The McKinstry Company.
Taking a pragmatic and client-focused approach, Frances builds client relationships through a clear understanding of client objectives and consistent delivery of excellent results.
Frances enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and is an avid reader, traveller and theatre goer.
