Bio

Robert is an experienced Trust and Executry executive with a career spanning over 35 years. Having worked across Dumfries and Galloway, Glasgow, and with a long-established firm in Ayr since 1994, he has become a familiar face in the local private client circles. Known for his approachable manner, and solutions driven approach, Robert’s clients feel at ease knowing they’re in expert hands.

Robert enjoys dealing with the day to day Administration of Executry Estates and Trusts. He also provides advice on other Private Client matters including Inheritance Tax, Wills and Powers of Attorneys

Robert, has extensive knowledge and experience of Inheritance tax compliance. In addition to his practical experience, he lectured for many years for the Society of Law Accountants in Scotland, sharing is knowledge of Inheritance Tax with students.

Outside of his work in Trusts and Executries, Robert is a keen road cyclist, paddleboarder, and hillwalker and often disappears for the weekend in his campervan. In winter months he is an overly enthusiastic, but somewhat limited snowboarder. And despite his advancing years, he has a love of Trance and Techno music.

A Scotland football fan and travelling member of the tartan army, at the weekend, Robert can often be found on the terraces of his beloved Ayr United, though he has recently become a little too fond of the pies!
