Founded in October 1984, the firm has grown from a single-practitioner operation into a leading legal practice with 40 staff members across Ayr, Girvan, and Dalry.

Over the past four decades, The McKinstry Company has expanded organically and through key acquisitions, most recently integrating the well-established North Ayrshire firm, James Patrick & Muir, in 2022. This growth strengthens our ability to serve a diverse client base, including individuals, businesses, and community organisations.
