The acquisition effected on 5th August 2022, represents a further consolidation and development of The McKinstry Company which offers a range of services across the legal spectrum including all aspects of property transactions, Wills and inheritance tax planning, business law, litigation and family law.
The Firm comprises 3 Partners, with 10 solicitors in total across the three offices, which are in Ayr at 39 Sandgate, Dalrymple Street in Girvan and now in New Street in Dalry and together boasts a huge range of knowledge, skills and legal expertise.
The principal of James Patrick & Muir, Mr Jimmy Russell, will continue as Consultant to The McKinstry Company for a short period following the acquisition to ensure a smooth transition of the business.
On completion of the acquisition, Robert Honeyman, Managing Partner commented: -

As part of the team which will oversee the running of the Dalry office, The McKinstry Company is also delighted to announce the recruitment and appointment of Katherine Honeyman as an Associate. Katherine, who has lived in North Ayrshire almost all her life, will be based in the Dalry office and will have responsibility for the management and development of the office.
Katherine is an experienced solicitor with over 25 years in practice having worked primarily throughout the West of Scotland and for the past 12 years with the same firm in Ardrossan and Largs. Katherine has a broad range of legal expertise and understands the importance of first class service and the development of a strong relationship with all clients.
